Brilliant anarchy! I just heard this stunning phrase on a YouTube video. It was used to describe the brilliant playing of a particular contestant on the British program Piano II. Of course I right away applied the phrase to making abstract art!
When I paint/create, in what I now do indeed see as a form of artistic anarchy, I definitely cast off any rules or logic, principles of color or value, balance..., choosing instead a fierce independence that brooks no apology or criticism, no evaluation or judgment! O the wonder!
